Our Commitment to the Community

Patio de Niños is a nonprofit educational institution in Cabarete, Dominican Republic, founded in 2017, offering inclusive, holistic education to children ages 1 to 8. Inspired by the Montessori philosophy, we foster curiosity, independence, creativity, empathy, and respect in a safe and supportive environment.

More than a school, Patio de Niños supports local families by creating accessible educational opportunities, regardless of their socio-economic circumstances. Our mission combines education and social impact to foster growth, inclusion, and positive change in the community of Cabarete.

Education Beyond the Classroom

To make a lasting impact, we know that we must actively engage and include the communities we are seeking to help. We are continually learning and growing in how we show up as an authentic, ethical partner. At Patio de Niños, we believe education is about much more than acquiring knowledge. It is an opportunity to discover, create, connect with others, build confidence, and develop the skills needed to navigate life's challenges. That is why we work every day to create an environment where children can grow with freedom and security, develop their full potential, and build the foundations to become curious, independent, empathetic, and socially conscious individuals who understand their role in the world.
